Provincial Highway 8, 14A 9 and 9D Road Construction Traffic Control Information as of February 23th, 2024

Traffic Control Information on Provincial Highway 8 for March 2024

 

*Traffic control measures will resume along various construction sections on Provincial Highway 8.

 

The road section from Dayuling to Taroko on Provincial Highway No. 8, Central Cross-Island Highway (from 110.2km to 184 .5km) will undergo construction at five disaster repair zones from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from March 1st to March 31st, 2024. (No control measures will be implemented at night). The control measures are as follows:

 

1. On Provincial Highway No. 8, at 117.4 km (Guanyuan), from 114.6 km (Hehuan Police Station) to 120.6 km (east entrance of Jinma Tunnel). Vehicles will be released on the hour (e.g.: 9:00-9:10, 10:00-10:10, 11:00-11:10, etc.…). However, due to limited road width in certain disaster-affected areas, single-lane traffic control will be implemented.

 

2. Provincial Highway No. 8, from 178.6 km to 179.8 km (from Xipan Reservoir to Baisha Second Bridge), flexible control measures will be implemented.

 

3. Provincial Highway No. 8, at 156.6 km (Luoshao), flexible control measures will be implemented.

 

4. Provincial Highway 8 at 180.5 km  (near Ning'an Bridge) will be released on the hour for ten minutes (e.g.: 9:00-9:10, 10:00-10:10, 11:00-11:10, etc.…).

 

5. Provincial Highway 8 at 183.1 km (near Changchun Bridge) will be released on the hour for ten minutes (e.g.: 9:00-9:10, 10:00-10:10, 11:00-11:10, etc.…).

The above #2-5 construction repair sites will no traffic controls during the weekends and public holidays.

Road closures are possible during the construction period in case of emergencies such as rockfalls, heavy rainfall, earthquakes, etc. Visitors passing through the construction sections are kindly requested to cooperate with on-site traffic management measures and proceed cautiously.

Provincial Highway 9 & 9D (9 Ding) Road Construction Traffic Control for March 2024
The Eastern Region Branch Office Highway Bureau, MOTC (Nan'ao Works Section and Jinyue Works Section), maintains road safety on Provincial Highway 9 and 9D. 
Construction Work on Provincial Highway 9 and 9D will be the following:

1. Provincial Highway 9 at 154 km + 150 m Zhongren Tunnel (Northbound Tunnel) will implement traffic controls fro drainage improvement works from March 1 to March 31. During this period, road closure control will be implemented 24 hrs.

Control Period: March 1 to March 31, 2024
(1)Control Time: 24 hr Every Day
The southern end control point is the Kanan Bridge traffic signal (154 km +150 m). During the control period, road users are advised to take Provincial Highway 9D (Old Suhua Highway) instead.
