Tianxiang Service Station
Established in 1992 as Lushui Service Station, the office moved to the newly built Tianxiang Visitor Center in 2009 and was renamed Tianxiang Service Station. Tianxiang Service Station is responsible for all recreational areas between Cimu Bridge and Xinbaiyang on the Central Cross-Island Highway, with responsibilities including environmental maintenance and management, as well as offering tourist information and interpretation services. The main areas of management include: Heliu Campground, Lushui Campground, Lushui Geological Exhibition Hall, Lushui Lower Terrace Central Cross-Island Highway Construction History Exhibition Hall, Tianxiang recreation area, and other recreational spots. Trails managed include Lushui Trail, Baiyang Trail, Huoran Pavilion Trail, Lushui Wenshan Trail, and Wenshan Trail.

Closed 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month and on Chinese New Year’s Eve. (NB: All weeks begin on a Sunday)

Closed Monday of the first and third week every month, and Chinese New Year's Eve (All services will be open if the Monday falls on a public holiday, postponed the closure day on Tuesday); also closed if the Central Cross-Island Highway is closed.
Lushui Geological Exhibition Hall Introduction
There are eleven exhibits in this hall: a history of the earth’s evolution, the age of geology, tectonics: the creation of plates, the face of the land, a geologic history of the Liwu River Basin, geologic terraces, the formation of a gorge, the changes of stones, cliffs, gold dust in the region, and the formation of Taiwan.

Introduction
Tianxiang is located in the east section of the Central Cross-Island Highway, approximately 19 km from Taroko. Tianxiang's rich variety of natural and cultural resources is known even to international visitors. The area includes: hotels, restaurants, bus stops, parking lots, a post office, and other facilities. Tianxiang is a wonderful stop to immerse yourself in Taroko; visitors can choose to stay at Silks Place Taroko Hotel, Tianxiang Youth Activity Center, or the Heliu camping grounds.
Taroko is not only world-famous for its marble gorge, but the Park is also rich in history, culture, and a wide diversity of environments ranging from high mountains to low valleys. The plethora of flora and fauna attracts many hikers. In addition to lectures on Taroko's unique aspects, mountaineering classes are also available. The classes hope to cultivate respect for mountaineering safety and environmental ethics since visitors come in close contact with Taroko's ecosystems. Seasonal information, activities and policy announcements are also displayed in real-time for the purpose of conservation, interpretation and recreation.
