Executive Yuan and Taroko National Park’s Preventative Measures Info and Notices for COVID-19

1. Be more cautious after the four days consecutive holidays! Maintain social distancing and avoid crowded places including hospitals. For those who have been to crowded places during the last four days public holiday (April 2, 2020 - April 5, 2020). You are advised to conduct self-health management measurement at home for 14 days.

2. A new face mask rationing system will begin on April 9, 2020. Adults can obtain nine face masks, while children are allocated fourteen face masks every two weeks. 

3. Avoid mass gatherings where the potential of infection spreading is higher! Suspended indoor activities of more than 100 people. In addition, gatherings of 500 people or more people at large outdoor events are banned.

4. Pandemic prevention compensation can be applied for within two years via the online application.

5. There is a maximum fine of NT$1 million for violating home quarantine protocols.

6. Pandemic prevention compensation shall not be allocated to those who untruthfully fill out information forms when returning from abroad, and those who visit countries or regions with a third level warning. In addition, necessary fees shall be imposed.

7. All travelers entering Taiwan require a 14-day home quarantine. Please strictly abide by this regulation. There is a maximum fine of NT$1 million for violating home quarantine protocols. In addition, one will not receive pandemic prevention compensation.

8. During the home quarantine period, if one feels unwell, please contact a local health center and follow the instruction for seeking medical treatment.

9. Taiwan to ban airline passenger transits through the country starting March 24, 2020, until April 7, 2020, to decrease the cross-border movement of people and to reduce the risk of virus transmission.

10. The face mask rationing system will not call you. Please make any reports to the 165 anti-fraud hotline.

11. Do NOT believe or spread rumors, or pass along fake official documents as this could result in a maximum fine of NT$3 million.

12. Don't go to the hospital unless it is necessary. Please visit the sick through online chat.

13. Avoid mass gatherings - public gatherings should be postponed or canceled.

Importance notice of the Preventive Measures for COVID-19 at Taroko National Park Headquarters:

To prevent the spreading COVID-19, Taroko National Park Headquarters is taking the following precautions:

1. Tourists who have a fever, cough or related respiratory diseases, should wear a face mask at all times.  

2. To assist in pandemic prevention, 75% ethanol alcohol and liquid hand soap are also provided in the indoor visitor center’s exhibition hall and service stations.

 

3. To prevent the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the multimedia briefing rooms will not offer the introduction briefings at Taroko National Park Headquarters Visitor Center, the Bulowan Service Station, and the Tianxiang Service Station. In addition, there are extensive cleaning and disinfecting measures.

 

4. Tourists are requested to cooperate with Taroko National Park Headquarters with all relevant pandemic prevention measures.

5. Everyone is responsible for pandemic prevention. Protect yourself and protect others.
