Due to the collapse of the Liufang Bridge (174 km) section on April 21, blocking both directions traffic, the road from Taroko 184.5 km to Tianxiang section 167.7 km is currently closed on Taiwan Provincial Highway 8. The Highway Bureau states that the road will be reopened tomorrow at 5 pm on April 23, 2024.
