Taroko National Park and Executive Yuan’s Preventative Measures Info and Notices for COVID-19                              April 14, 2020

                                                          

 

1. Crowd control measures have been imposed at public places where large crowds can gather, including renowned tourist attractions, night markets and temples in order to prevent potential an infection chain from undermining pandemic prevention and control efforts. 

2. During the pandemic prevention period, remember to wear a face mask when entering the post office.

3. During the pandemic prevention period, there should still routine vaccines for children to make sure they remain healthy.
4.
Guardians of infants and toddlers who cannot wear masks should maintain a social distancing.

5. Maintain social distancing and avoid crowded places including hospitals. For those who have been to crowded places. You are advised to conduct self-health management measurement at home for 14 days.

eople should maintain at least a 1.5 meters social distancing from others indoors and 1 meter outdoors.
7. Pay attention to social distancing and avoid having close contact at social activities and entertainment venues.

Please wear face masks when taking public transportation and taxis. Eating is not allowed in the cars, or trains or the MRT.  

9. Do NOT believe or spread rumors, or pass along fake official documents as this could result in a maximum fine of NT$3 million.
10. From from April 9 2020, the Taiwanese public can apply to send masks to first and second degree* relatives (*see below definition) who live overseas via the exclusive website- Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs.  

*First and second degree relatives include: spouse, parents, children and their spouses, grandparents, grandchildren and their spouses, and siblings and their spouses.

11. Pandemic prevention compensation can be applied for within two years via the online application.

12. Don't go to the hospital unless it is necessary. Please visit the sick through online chat.

13. During the home quarantine period, if one feels unwell, please contact a local health center and follow the instruction for seeking medical treatment.

14. Taiwan to ban airline passenger transits through the country starting March 24, 2020, until April 30, 2020, to decrease the cross-border movement of people and to reduce the risk of virus transmission.

15. The face mask rationing system will not call you. Please make any reports to the 165 anti-fraud hotline.

16. The face mask rationing system 2.0 parcel retrieval text messages will not have an online inquiry link. Please make any reports to the 165 anti-fraud hotline.

Importance notice of the Preventive Measures for COVID-19 at Taroko National Park Headquarters:

To prevent the spreading COVID-19, Taroko National Park Headquarters is taking the following precautions:

1. Tourists who have a fever, cough or related respiratory diseases, should wear a face mask at all times.  

2. To assist in pandemic prevention, 75% ethanol alcohol and liquid hand soap are also provided in the indoor visitor center’s exhibition hall and service stations.

 

3. To prevent the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the multimedia briefing rooms will not offer the introduction briefings at Taroko National Park Headquarters Visitor Center, the Bulowan Service Station, and the Tianxiang Service Station. In addition, there are extensive cleaning and disinfecting measures.

4. Tourists are requested to cooperate with Taroko National Park Headquarters with all relevant pandemic prevention measures.

5. Everyone is responsible for pandemic prevention. Protect yourself and protect others.
