Swallow Grotto Trail Closed for Rockfall Prevention Construction Work from April 21-30 2020
To improve tourist safety, Taroko National Park Headquarters has scheduled land/rockslide prevention and the rockfall prevention shelter repair construction work from April 21 to April 30, 2020 at Yanzikou (Swallow Grotto) trail. Therefore, this trail will be temporarily closed. Please take note and abide by these control measures.
Taroko National Park Headquarters maintains that the above slope scrubbing projects are necessary to mitigate landslides and rockfalls, and will ultimately strengthen tourist safety. Visitors are advised to visit Jiuqudong (Tunnel of Nine Turns) Trail instead. In the case of inclement weather, the above construction periods may be altered or postponed; if so, the Park Headquarters will announce any changes on this website.
