To reinforce the safety of road users, the traffic controls are in effect for Highway Slope Stabilization Work(from Highway 14A(Jia) 34.5k and Central Cross-Island Provincial Highway 8 between Xiaofengkou and Taroko road section)
1. Provincial Highway 14A at 34.4km(Xiaofengkou section) traffic control: 08:00am - 17:00 (Randomly traffic control)
2. Provincial Highway 14A at 37.3km (Xiaofengkou section) traffic control: 08:00am - 17:00, passage time: hourly on the hour for 10 minutes(e.g.: 8:00-08:10, 09:00-09:10, 10:00-10:10…) (No traffic control during weekends or public holidays)
3. Provincial Highway 8 at 131.1km(at Ci’en section) traffic control: 08:00am - 17:00, passage time: hourly on the hour for 10 minutes(No traffic control during weekends or public holidays)
4. Provincial Highway 8 at 159.1km – 159km + 800m (Xibao Section) 08:00am - 17:00, passage time: hourly on the hour for 10 minutes(No traffic control during weekends or public holidays)
5. Provincial Highway 8 at 166.5km(Guyuan Section) traffic control: 07:30am - 17:30, passage time: hourly on the half hour for 10 minutes(eg: 8:30-8:40, 9:30-9:40,..) (No traffic control during weekends or public holidays)
6. Provincial Highway 8 at 170.1km(Lushui section) Slope Stabilization Work traffic control: 08:00am - 17:00, Passage time: hourly on the hour for 10 minutes (e.g.: 8:00-08:10, 09:00-09:10, 10:00-10:10…) (No traffic control during weekends or public holidays)
7. Provincial Highway 8 at 171.1km(Lushui section) Tunne Reinforce Repair Work Traffic Controls: 08:00am - 17:00, Passage time: hourly on the hour for 10 minutes (e.g.: 8:00-08:10, 09:00-09:10, 10:00-10:10…) (No traffic control during weekends or public holidays)
8. Provincial Highway 8 at 186.5km(Taroko gorge east entrance) traffic control: 07:30am - 17:30, passage time: hourly on the half hour for 10 minutes(eg: 8:30-8:40, 9:30-9:40,..)
Visitors who are planning visit Taroko gorge will be affected by the above 6-8 traffic controls. Road users bound for Taichung or Puli, Nantou will affected by the above traffic control 1-8 traffic controls.
Please obey the repair site traffic control staff indications and pass quickly. Please notice your own safety. A week after heavy rains or an earthquake, please do not enter the mountain road. Plan ahead before your trip. Do have a nice and safe journey!
