It is difficult to predict and increase the number of visitors to the Buluowan Suspension Bridge. In coordination with the traffic control measures of Provincial Highway 8 (Central Cross-Island Highway) during the Lunar Chinese New Year holiday, visitors can enter the venue without a reservation during February 2-4, 2022 (2nd to 4th day of Chinese New Year).
During the Chinese New Year holiday, traffic control will be implemented between Taroko Gorge East Entrance and Tianxiang on the Central Cross-Island Highway. Taroko National Park Headquarters will provide free shuttle buses for visitors. During the control period, except for free shuttle buses, regular buses, midsize buses, or 40-sitter buses must obtain entry permits. Vehicles with permits and vehicles with more than four wheels will be allowed to enter according to the traffic conditions. The free shuttle bus service has fixed routes. Extra time should be budgeted for connection between scenic spots. To avoid the impact of reservations, the public cannot visit Buluowan Suspension Bridge according to online reservation time. The Buluowan Suspension Bridge opening hours will be adjusted and open from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm during the Chinese New Year holiday period. The online application reservation will be suspended and changed to on-site queuing for admission so that all visitors to Bulowan will have the opportunity to visit the Buluowan Suspension Bridge.
There is an influx of tourists during the Lunar Chinese New Year holiday. Buluowan Suspension Bridge is located at the perimeter of the narrowest gorge section of Yanzikou (Swallow Grotto). The bridge is particularly prone to strong winds. Taroko National Park Headquarters urges visitors to follow the guidance and instructions of on-site staff when visiting the suspension bridge and pay attention to personal belongings at all times. Do not use umbrellas on the suspension bridge to ensure a pleasant and safe journey.
