The Ecological Protection Area, mountain cabins, and indoor exhibition halls are all closed in Taroko National Park following the escalation to Level 3 regulations.

Taroko National Park will implement new measures for accessing the recreation area following the escalation to Level 3 regulations in order to adhere to the Central Epidemic Command Center, which has announced restrictions from May 15, 2021, to May 28, 2021. Please be advised that mountain cabins and trails in the ecological protection areas will be prohibited for use. Relevant control measures will be implemented in the park during this time period.

1. All indoor exhibitions are closed, including the Taroko Terrace (Taroko Visitor Center), Buluowan, Tianxiang, Mt. Hehuan Service Station, and other indoor recreational areas. Visitors are prohibited from entering any of these facilities.
2. Mountain cabins and ecological protection areas are closed in Taroko National Park. Be advised that mountain cabins are entirely closed, and people are prohibited from entering the national park ecological protection area. Those who have obtained entry permits will have them automatically revoked.

3. Outdoor recreational areas in the national park will restrict gatherings of more than 500 people. Controls and guided diversions will be implemented to manage the flow of densely occupied areas. All people must wear face masks and maintain social distancing (1 meter).

4. Parking lots will reduce the number of available parking spaces by 50% and be adjusted according to the on-site conditions. This measure is to reduce the proximity of people in recreation areas.

Taroko National Park Headquarters urges visitors to comply with all the epidemic prevention measures, including properly wearing face masks, hand washing with antibacterial soap, and maintaining social distancing (1 meter). Thank you for your cooperation.
