The emergency repair team will arrange personnel to guard and control the 117.4 km disaster site on Provincial Highway 8 during each passage time. The construction site traffic control will open on time, depending on the slope conditions. Please wait patiently and arrive earlier at the control point before the passage time. Please cooperate, drive carefully, and pass sequentially; the emergency repair team also reminds drivers that the disaster road section is still in the emergency repair stage. During the passage period, drivers should be aware that if the weather conditions are not good (heavy rainfall, dense fog causing an inability to monitor the slope, etc.) the emergency repair team is permitted to close the road and prohibiting the passage of people and vehicles.
Please plan your trip accordingly.

The Eastern Region Branch Office Highway Bureau urges drivers that, after a week after earthquake or heavy rain, roads in mountain areas are prone to rockfall and that it is advisable to avoid driving on these roads. Furthermore, make full use of the Directorate General of Highways' intelligent provincial highway real-time information service (https://168.thb.gov.tw), download the "Happiness Road APP" on your mobile phone, and listen to the traffic broadcast messages to stay updated with the latest road information. The Directorate General of Highways wishes everyone a safe journey.
