Provincial Highway 9 & 9D (9 Ding) Road Construction Traffic Control
The Eastern Region Branch Office Highway Bureau, MOTC (Nan'ao Works Section and Jinyue Works Section) is responsible for the maintenance of road safety on Provincial Highway 9 and 9D.
Construction Work on Provincial Highway 9 and 9D will be the following:
1. Provincial Highway 9 at 159.3 km (Daqingshui Tunnel) for the Rockfall Prevention Tunnel Construction Work (158.2 km Daqingshui ~ 161.3 km Huide Tunnel North Entrance
A: Day Time
Control Period: September 18, 2023 and September 29, 2023
Control Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Passage Time: Not predetermined - accessibility depends on checking work and according to on-site traffic flow.
Open for one direction of traffic once at a time for both directions traffic. Please follow the on-site personnel instruction.
Control point:
North Control point: at 159.2 km South Entrance of Daqingshui Tunnel
South Control point: at 160.4 km South Entrance of Jinwen Tunnel
B: Night Time
Control Period: September 18, 2023 ~ September 22, 2023
Control Time: 20:00 pm to the next morning 4:00 am
Passage time: Every 2 hours on the hour for 10 minutes (e.g. 20:00 pm – 20:10 pm, 22:00 – 22:10, etc.) No traffic control from 4:00 am ~ 9:00am the next morning.
Open for one direction of traffic once at a time for both directions traffic. Please follow the on-site personnel instruction. Please plan your trip ahead.
North Control point: at 158.2 km Daqingshui
South Control point: at 161.3 km North Entrance of Huide Tunnel
2. Provincial Highway 9D at 64 km ~64.3 km Heren road section for The North Bound Lane Drainage Improvement Construction Work
Traffic Control Time: 24 hrs
Control Period: August 15, 2023 – October 6, 2023
The road on the north bound lane is closed for the construction work. Open for one direction of traffic once at a time for both directions traffic. Please follow the on-site personnel instruction.
3. Provincial Highway 9 at Chongren Tunnel road section for The North Bound Tunnel Closed Repair Construction Work
A: Control Period: September 26, 2023 – September 27, 2023 - Closed the North Bound Tunnel
Control Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
B: Control Period: September 28, 2023 – Novermber 30, 2023
Control Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Passage time: Every 1 hour on the hour for 10 minutes (e.g. 9:00 am – 9:10 am, 10:00 – 10:10, 11:00 – 11:10, etc.)
The road on the north bound lane is closed for the construction work. Open for one direction of traffic once at a time for both directions traffic. Please follow the on-site personnel instruction.
The road repair construction traffic controls do not apply during the Mid-Autumn Festival (September 29, 2023 – October 1, 2023) and Double Tenth National Day consecutive holidays (October 7, 2023 – October 10, 2023) and weekends, public holidays.
C: The control point is located at 154 km + 150 m (Kanan Bridge traffic light). The road users are advised to take Provincial Highway 9D (Old Su-hua Highway).
D: The nearby road construction work at Provincial Highway 9 at 159.3 km (Daqingshui Tunnel) from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Open for one direction of traffic once at a time for both directions traffic. Please plan your trip ahead. Please follow the on-site personnel instruction.
4. Provincial Highway 9 at 121 km +650 and 113 km + 680 m for Traffic Control Facilities Maintenance Construction Work
Control Period: October 3, 2023
Control Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Open for one direction of traffic once at a time for both directions traffic. Please plan your trip ahead. Please follow the on-site personnel instruction.
