Taroko- Swallow Grotto (Yanzikou) Trail Closed due to the Serious Rockfalls
Due to heavy rain last night (October 13, 2020), the Yanzikou Trail was been checked this morning and found a large area of falling rocks at about 350 meters of this trail, several railings and boardwalks damaged. There were also scattered rocks along the trail. The trail was closed at 7 am today.
Because there are still sporadic rockfalls, it is necessary to quickly clean up after the weather is stable. The rockfall cleaning, railing iron welding and wooden plank repair are scheduled for tomorrow (October 15, 2020). After cleaning, we will continue to observe the rockfall conditions. After confirming that it is safe, the Swallow Grotto (Yanzikou) trail will reopen at 8:00 am on October 20, 2020 (Tuesday).
