Heliu Campground Temporarily Closed for Repair Works until the Middle of December 2020
To improve Park safety, Taroko National Park Headquarters has scheduled the Heliu campground facility repair.
Repairs for the wooden staircase on the Heliu campground will take place from September 1st, 2020 to the Middle of December, 2020. During the closure period, visitors will be able to use the parking lots and restrooms (including cold showers) at Heliu campground. Visitor are advised to use Lushui Campground. The floor of Lüshui campground is earth and grass. It has no tent platforms or showers and is equipped washstands and outdoor table and chairs. The toilets of Lüshui Geological Exhibition Hall can be used 100 meters to the upper terrace of the Lushui Geological Exhibition Hall. For the cold shower, one needs to walk 500 meters eastward to the Heliu Campground restrooms. No booking is required and use is free of charge.
Taroko National Park Administration stated that in the case of inclement weather, the above construction periods may be altered or postponed; if so, the Park Headquarters will announce any changes on this website.
