Installation of New Luifeng Observation Platform closure to be apportioned into two phases starting from September 28th, 2020

 

      To improve the safety of the Luifeng observation platform, the Taroko National Park Headquarters has scheduled the installation of Luifeng observation platform in two construction phases starting from September 28th, 2020. For the both safety of tourists to enjoy gorge scenery and construction work, the Luifeng Observation Platform will be closed during this period due to the installation works of the new observation platforms that will be undergoing maintenance.

The two phases of construction and the dates of closure at Luifeng Observation Platform are as follows:

 

  1. September 28th, 2020 (Monday) – October 12th, 2020 (Monday), closure for the lowest observation platform. Tourists will be allowed to visit the two upper layer platforms for the gorge scenery.
  2. October 13th, 2020 (Tuesday) – November 30th, 2020 (Monday), all three layer platforms will be closure for installation new observation platform works.

Inclement weather conditions may result in the phases of construction being moved or extended, with the goal of the construction to improve recreational safety and quality. In these cases, the Park Headquarters will announce these changes on their official website.
