Guardrail Construction to be Implemented on Taroko National Park’s Yanzikou (Swallow Grotto) Trail
Crowd control on trail from August 24 to October 30, 2020
To improve the safety of tourists, the Taroko National Park Headquarters will implement a project renovating the guardrails on the Yanzikou (Swallow Grotto) Trail from August 24 to October 30, 2020. During this time, the trail will remain open with only brief periods normally no longer than 20 minutes of controlled passage (affecting either pedestrians or traffic on this trail) when the construction equipment and materials are being shifted. The area of construction will be surrounded by safety fencing, so visitors can still enjoy the scenery outside these areas.
The Taroko National Park Headquarters asks that tourists pay attention to their own safety and to cooperate with control measures. If the construction period needs to be extended or moved due to weather reasons, the Park Headquarters will post a separate announcement via the official website (taroko.gov.tw).
