Eternal Spring Shrine (Changchun Shrine) Old Road Temporarily Closed for Rockfall Prevention from June 10th to June 24th 2020

To improve Park safety, Taroko National Park Headquarters has scheduled slope scrubbing (land/rockslide prevention) from 10 to 24 June 2020 from Chunhun Bridge to new Changchun Bridge on the old Provincial Highway 8 section. Therefore, this section from west Changchun Bridge via Chunhun Bridge(Changguan Temple gate) to new Changchun Bridge will be temporarily closed. Please take note and abide by these control measures.

The Eternal Spring Shrine is open to tourist. Please return via the same route to Provincial Highway 8. The Eternal Spring Shrine trail is partically open from Changguan Temple to the Bell Tower. Please via the same route doubleback. Taroko National Park Headquarters maintains that the above slope scrubbing project is necessary to mitigate landslides and rockfalls, and will ultimately strengthen tourist safety. At the same time, these projects will be implemented in a way that will minimize effects on tourism and traffic. We ask that tourists kindly cooperate with the above measures and to follow the instructions of on-site construction personnel. In the case of inclement weather, the above construction periods may be altered or postponed; if so, the Park Headquarters will announce any changes on this website.
