June 25th Truku Tribal Music Festival and Traditional Cultural Event

 

Due to the slowdown of the COVID-19 epidemic in Taiwan, the Taroko National Park Headquarters will hold an additional tribal music festival and traditional cultural experience on Thursday, June 25, 2020 (a four-day consecutive holiday on the Dragon Boat Festival Day) in the spirit of improving the quality of life and promoting economic development.

 

The Truku Tribal Music Festival will take place from 2:30pm to 3:10pm, and will feature singers and music groups of the Xiulin Township Truku tribe. In addition to the Music Festival, a Traditional Cultural Experience event will be held from 1:20 pm to 3:30 pm, themed around traditional costumes and traditional woven pack baskets (rattan baskets carried on the back) activities for limitation of 30 person. The Traditional Cultural Experience is limited to 30 persons, and there are no quotas for the Truku Tribal Music Festival. On-site registration is available (no advance applications needed) and all activities are free of charge.
