2019 Taroko Music Festival on 26 October  
Take Free Shuttle Bus at Xincheng Railway Station  

 

The music festival morning session (10:30 am - 12:00 pm)

The music festival afternoon session (14:00-16:30).

There will be traffic control on Taroko National Park Headquarters (Taroko Terrace). No vehicles are permitted to enter. Please take free

There are free shuttle buses provided between Xincheng railway station and our Park Headquarters (Taroko Terrace). The Provincial Highway 8 is open as usual.

The morning free shuttle buses start from Xincheng will be 9:00 am - 10:30 am. The return shuttle buses start from our Park HQ will be 12:00 pm -13:00 pm. (every 5 minutes a bus, none stop on the way)

The afternoon free shuttle buses start from Xincheng will be 12:30 pm - 14:00 pm. The return shuttle buses start from our Park HQ will be 16:30 pm -17:30 pm. (every 5 minutes a bus, none stop on the way)

Morning Session Programs (10:30 am -12:00 pm)

  3. 11:10 – 12:00: Modern Jazz (Hua Xi Lin Men)

 

Afternoon Session Programs (14:00 pm – 16:30 pm)

  1. 14:15 – 15:15 Hualien Orchestra
  2. 15:15 – 15:25 Gorge Dancing Group
  3. 15:30 – 16:30 Taipei philharmonic orchestra and 3 Golden Melody Awards Winner Jonny Yin (Yin Zhen-yang) (Won 3 awards of the Taiwanese Grammy Awards)

 

If you arrive 9:00 am, we would advise you that before the morning session (9:00 am -10:30 am) or the afternoon session (noon break 12:00 pm – 14:00 pm) you could go to the nearest two trails: Xiaozhuilu and Shakadang trail. These two trails are connected. Start from the Park HQ through Xiaozhuilu to Wujianwu (5D Cabin) of Shakadang trail altogether is about 5.6 km/ 1.5 to 2 hours hiking time. Please go to our Taroko Visitor Center service counter and request for a brochure and the detailed map of these two trails. Or consult our website for details, please click Tourism Info> Trails   

 

Due to the Taroko Gorge Music Festival traffic control on Taroko Terrace (the Park Headquarters) on 26 October 2019, the two bus companies: Taiwan Trip #1133A and #1133 (run by Hualien Bus Co.) bus and Taroko bus company #302 bus will not make stops for both Taroko National Park Headquarters Visitor Center and Shakadang trail. We would suggest you that you walk about 10 minutes to “ Taroko” bus stop (near the Taroko Arch and one stop ahead of the Park HQ) to take a bus to tour Taroko gorge such as Swallow Grotto trail (Yanzikou trail)and Tunnel of Nine Turns Trail (Jioqudong), Baiyang trail, etc.
