Baiyang Trail reopened on April 30, 2019
Baiyang Trail opens at 9:00am on April 30, 2019 from trailhead to the entrance of Water Curtain Cave. Due to April 18 earthquake in Xiulin Township, Hualien County (magnitude 6.1), visitors should be reminded that there may be aftershocks. There will also be continuous rain in the Park domain which amplifies the probability of landslides. Please wear a hard hat(helmet) or other protective gear on the park trails, such as Swallow Grotto (Yanzikou), Lushui or Baiyang Trail. Hard hats(helmet) can be borrowed free of charge at 179.3 km on the Provincial Highway 8 (Central Cross-Island Highway) at Xipan check-in/out Service Station. Please pay particular attention to your own safety and beware of rockfall.
