Provincial Highway 9 traffic control information June 13th - June 22nd
The Su’ao - Dong’ao Tunnel section of Provincial Highway 9 will be under construction for improvement of the lighting system. The construction begins at 8pm on Wednesday (6/13/18) and lasts until 5pm on Friday (6/22/18). However, construction controls will be suspended for the Dragon Boat Festival Holiday.
**Note** No construction controls will be in effect from 3:00 pm on June 15th until 8:00 am on June 19th.
The tunnel control schedule is as follow:
1) Provincial Highway 9 at Dong’ao Tunnel is under construction. The outside emergency lane will be closed from 8:00 am to 17:00 pm daily. The construction zone will alternate with the inside main lane closed from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. Traffic will be diverted respectively.
Traffic Control Schedule: 08:00am - 17:00 pm (emergency lane closure), 17:00 pm - 8:00 am (interior main lane closure)
Passage time: Open. Single lane access only.
2) Provincial Highway 9 at Su’ao Tunnel - Dongyue Tunnel is under construction. The construction time is from 20:00 pm to 5:00 am daily. The outside lane construction zone will alternate to the inside lane upon completion of the road section. The road section will be closed and traffic will be adjusted accordingly. Please obey the construction zone traffic control personnels’ indications and pass quickly.
Traffic Control Schedule: 20:00 pm - 5:00 pm (alternating lane closure)
Passage time: Open. Single lane access only.
Please pay attention for own safety. In the event of an earthquake or a week after heavy rains, please do not enter the mountain road. Plan ahead before your trip. Have a safe and pleasant journey!
