Road Open for Provincial Highway 8 but Construction traffic controls apply for March 1-31, 2018
To reinforce the safety of road user, the traffic controls are in effect for Highway Slope Stabilization Work

Provincial Highway 8 at 119.2k(at Kuanyuan section) traffic control: 07:30am - 17:30, passage time: hourly on the half hour for 10 minutes(eg: 8:30-8:40, 9:30-9:40,..)

Provincial Highway 8 at 125k(Bilu Secret Tree Section), 131.1k(Ci’en Section), 159.8k(Xibao Section) 08:00am - 17:00, passage time: hourly on the hour for 10 minutes

Provincial Highway 8 at 139.7k(Xinbaiyan Seciton) traffic control: 07:30am - 17:30, traffic control: 07:30am - 17:30, Passage: randomly.

Provincial Highway 8 at 166.7k(Guyuan Section) Traffic control time: 07:30am - 17:30, passage time: hourly on the half hour for 10 minutes(eg: 8:30-8:40, 9:30-9:40,..)
The above construction site will have NO traffic controls for weekends and public holidays.
Visitors who are planning visit Taroko gorge(Taroko – Tianxiang 19 kilometer section) will not be affected by the above traffic controls.
Visitors who are heading to Taichung or Puli, Nantou will affected by the above traffic control 1-4 traffic controls. (east to west or west to east)
Please obey the repair site traffic control personnel indications and pass quickly. Please notice your own safety. A week after heavy rains or an earthquake, please do not enter the mountain road. Plan ahead before your trip. Do have a nice and safe journey!

Provincial Highway 9 at 144.1k (Guanyin Section) for Highway Slope Stabilization Work traffic control: 08:30am - 17:30, passage time: hourly on the half hour for 5 minutes(eg: 8:30-8:35, 9:30-9:35, etc...) Control period: February 27 , 2018– March 2, 2018 NO traffic controls for weekends and public holidays.
