Continuing from Eternal Spring Shrine for about 2km, a steel-made suspension bridge, Ning’an Old Bridge, spans the green mountains and waters. The bridge is 82m long and was built at the beginning of the construction of Central Cross-Island Highway. At the time, it was the longest single-arch bridge in Taiwan with a narrow width allowing only one car to pass. The vermillion bridge is particularly striking against surrounding greenery.
