Trail Introduction

The second northern section of the Central Mountain Range (colloquially: “North Section 2”) collectively refers to the section between Mt. Zhongyangjian to the north and Mt. Bilu and Mt. Yangtou  to the south. Not including these peripheral three mountains, North Section 2 includes four baiyue: Ganshu Peak, Mt. Wuming, Mt. Lingming, and Mt. Shuan. Because the traverse between North Sections 1 and 2 from Mt. Zhongyangjian to Ganshu Peak, notoriously known as the “Death Ridge”, requires a high level of mountaineering experience, most mountaineers will opt instead to isolate North Section 2 as a circular route.
