Opening Hours: 08:30 am -17:00 pm 
 Closed: Monday of the second week every month, and Chinese New Year's Eve (NB: All weeks begin on a Sunday. All services will be open if the Monday falls on a public holiday, postponed closure day on Tuesday.)

Reservations for film presentation and outdoor guided tours are not available on holidays. (Available)
The outdoor guided tours are available for 1. Parties of 15-80 with their own transport. 2. Bookings by profit-making travel businesses like travel agents and bus companies will not be accepted. 3. Educational outdoor guided tours give priority to academic, non-commercial groups. 4. The outdoor interpretation guided service is mainly included only from Taroko to Tianxiang section on the Central Cross-Island Highway (Provincial Highway 8) and Chongde to Heren boundary on the Su-hua Highway (Provincial Highway 9)  near by scenic spots except for Zhuilu Old Road or other mountaineering trails.
Note: Outdoor guided interpretation tours for Taroko Gorge along the Provincial Highway 8 and Provincial Highway 9 are unavailable due to the severe damage caused by the April 3, 2024, earthquake and subsequent typhoons. However, the Taroko Visitor Center remains open, offering indoor guided interpretation for visitors.

NOTE:

Due to the severe damage caused by the April 3rd earthquake and the impact of Typhoon Kong-rey on October 31, 2024, the Buluowan and the Tinaxiang service stations, as well as the trails and scenic spots from Taroko to Tinaxiang (km 185.4–km 167.7) on Provincial Highway 8, remain closed. Bus services between the Taroko Visitor Center and Tinaxiang are currently suspended.  

Note: On April 3, 2024, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Hualien, followed by the impact of Typhoon Kong-rey on October 31, causing severe damage to the park. Many areas suffered from landslides, falling rocks, and damaged facilities. Due to ongoing aftershocks and the impact of the typhoons, repair and restoration work has been significantly delayed. The reopening dates for trails and scenic spots in Taroko Gorge (Taroko–Tianxiang) remain uncertain, and the repair work may take a long time.
