With the flood season approaching, the Eastern Region Branch of the Directorate General of Highways, Taroko Section, will conduct a disaster prevention and emergency response drill to strengthen highway disaster preparedness.

The drill is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) at the Jiuqudong Tunnel (173.5 km) section of Provincial Highway 8 (Central Cross-Island Highway).
