Safety: Where can I borrow a safety helmet?

Safety helmets can be borrowed free of charge at the following locations. You do not need to reserve the helmet in advance.

- Xipan Service Station (24°10'20.9"N 121°34'37.0"E) | 08:00 - 17:00 (Service suspended after the April 3rd earthquake)
** Tianxiang Service Station (24°11'00"N 121°29'39"E) | 09:00 - 16:00 ** 
*  Buluowan Service Station (24°10'15"N 121°34'23"E) | 08:30 - 16:30 * (Service Station Closed after the April 3rd earthquake due to the severe damage)
*  Hehuanshan Service Station (24°09'44"N 121°17'14"E) ^ | 08:30 - 16:30 *
*** Taroko National Park Visitor's Center (24°09'29"N 121°37'21"E) ^ | 08:30 - 17:00 ***

NOTE:

Due to the severe damage caused by the April 3rd earthquake and typhoons in 2024, the trails and scenic spots from Taroko to Tianxiang (185.4 km–167.7 km) on the Provincial Highway 8 remain closed. The helmet free borrowing service is temporarily suspended, and the bus service between the Taroko Visitor Center and Tinaxiang is currently unavailable.
