Three booked morning sessions: 09:00, 10:00, 11:00
Three booked afternoon sessions: 13:00, 15:00, 16:00
※ The above sessions are limited to 15-100 people

Application rules

Book with the park's Interpretation & Education Section by phone or on-line one day to two months in advance. No reservation on Public Holidays(including weekends), every second Monday of the month, Chinese New Year Holiday, Taroko Gorge Music Festival, and big events held by the park.

Points to note

  • The fixed time presentations cannot be booked. To view the presentations, please attend freely at the times shown above.
  • 12:00~13:00 is a rest period
  • Please arrive ten minutes before the booked presentation time to avoid affecting the next presentation. Please inform the Interpretation & Education Section by phone in advance if the booking is no longer required. If no notification is given and the group does not show up for a booking, no further bookings will be accepted for one year.
  • The park headquarters will reply confirming the booking. Please be on time.

Outdoor interpreter booking

  • Morning 08:30~12:00.
  • Afternoon 13:00~16:30.
  • One day 08:30~16:30

Basic requirements

※ 1. Parties of 15-80 with their own transport
※ 2. Bookings by profit-making travel businesses like travel agents and bus companies will not be accepted
※ 3. Educational outdoor guided tours give priority to academic, non-commercial groups.
※ 4. The outdoor interpretation guided service is mainly included only from Taroko to Tianxiang section on the Central Cross-Island Highway and Chongde to Heren boundary on the Su-hua Highway near by scenic spots except for Zhuilu Old Road or other mountaineering trails.

Application rules

  • Interpreters must be booked with the park's Interpretation & Education Section two weeks to two months in advance.
  • Whether an interpreter is provided on the day will depend on availability of interpreting personnel. No outdoor interpretation service provided on the following days: Chinese New Year Public Holidays, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Taroko Gorge Music Festival , and Taroko Gorge Marathon, and big events held by the Park.

Points to note

  • Please fill in the complete information when you make an internet booking and indicate the interpretation venue, starting and finishing point of route etc. If the information is incomplete the application will not be accepted.
  • When booking on-line “□” requires that the box should be clicked.
  • If a single unit requires more than two service items (for example, book a presentation and apply for an interpreter) each should be clicked separately.
  • Please meet up with the interpreter at the arranged time and after the activity is finished deliver him/her back to the visitor center. Interpreter service time is, in principle, working time each day (08:30~16:30).
  • Please inform the Interpretation & Education Section by phone if the booking is no longer required. If no notification is given and the group does not show up, no further bookings by the booking party will be accepted for one year.

※ Taroko National Park has frequent natural disasters and is a potentially dangerous area. If there are any doubts about safety, this headquarters reserves the right to refuse to dispatch personnel.
