Applications for flying drones will be temporarily suspended on March 5, 2022, due to the "2021 Yunlang Tourism Taroko Gorge Marathon". The impacted areas for suspended drone flying are from Taroko Terrace to Tianxiang. In addition, no applications for the park entry permit to Zhuilu Old Road will be accepted.

Subject: Applications for flying drones will be temporarily suspended on March 5, 2022, due to the "2021 Yunlang Tourism Taroko Gorge Marathon". The impacted areas for suspended drone flying are from Taroko Terrace to Tianxiang. In addition, no applications for the park entry permit to Zhuilu Old Road will be accepted.

 

Basis: This resolution was agreed upon at the Hualien County Road Traffic Safety Joint Meeting in December 2021.

 

 

Notice:

 

1. The Hualien County Marathon Road Running Association will hold the "2021 Yunlang Tourism Taroko Gorge Marathon" on March 5, 2022. Vehicles are prohibited from entering the Central Cross-Island Highway (Provincial Hwy. 8) from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm between Taroko (184.5 km) to Tianxiang (167.4 km) sections. Applications for Zhuilu Old Road and Flying Drones between the Taroko Terrace (Taroko National Park Headquarters) and Tianxiang recreational area is suspended.

 

2. The suspension of flying drones (aerial photography) in the areas mentioned above will be lifted at 1:30 pm on March 5, 2022. Zhuilu Old Road will be reopened at 7:00 am on March 6, 2022.
