Announcements:

1.Due to the earthquakes of April 3 and April 22, aftershocks are continuing and rockfalls are frequently occurring on Central Cross-Island Highway.

With the loosening of soil and rocks in mountainous areas and the approach of the plum rain in recent days, there have been reports of localized heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of landslides.

In order to ensure the safety of hikers, entry to all ecological protection areas and other restricted areas is prohibited. Please avoid entering mountainous areas for non-essential activities.

2.The closure will be in effect from 08:00 on May 7, 2024, to 08:00 on May 21, 2024.

According to Article 5 of the "Guidelines for Applying for Permits to Enter Ecological Protection Areas in Yushan, Taroko, and Shei-Pa National Parks", all previously issued entry permits shall be invalidated.

Once the weather front has moved away and the aftershocks have subsided, the park will send personnel to patrol the various routes.

Admission activities will be resumed when it is deemed safe to do so.
