The 92,000 hectares of Taroko National Park span three counties, Hualien, Taichung , and Nantou. The park's unique natural sights include the world-famous Taroko Gorge and Cingshui Cliffs. It is rich in biologically diverse flora and fauna, and is ruggedly alpine, encompassing 27 of Taiwn's famed "Hundred Peaks ." Taroko attracts more than 1.5 million visitors a year from within Taiwan and abroad who enjoy the area's natural beauty and recreational activities.
