According to the National Park Act, Article 13, the following actions are prohibited
inside the national park:
- Burning or slashing vegetation.
- Hunting or fishing.
- Polluting the air or water.
- Felling trees or plucking plants.
- Defacing trees, rocks, or sign boards.
- Littering.
- Driving off the road.
- Other prohibitions made by the administrative authorities.

Before you enter restricted mountain areas away from the main trails, please notify
the park headquarters of your duration of stay, route and destination. To acquire
a mountain entry permit for hiking in the park, go to the Park Police Corps behind
park headquarters. If you plan to travel in Ecological Protection Areas and Archeological Protection Area-Zhuilu Old Trail, you are
required to contact the Recreation & Service Section of Taroko National Park.

* Visitors beware of fallen rocks on the road and trails, especially
after heavy rains, typhoons, and earthquakes.
* Beware of killer bees or snakes, while using the trails.
