Attention: The Central Cross-Island Highway (Hwy No. 8) is closed from Lishan to Dongshi(Taichung) section, due to the earthquake of Sep. 21, 1999 damages. Tourists can take highway 14A from Dayuling to Puli, Nantou county, then highway from Puli to Taichung or Sun Moon Lake.
